If you read this and still think the virus does not relate to rights and rights do not relate to investing...I dunno...I guess all I can say is stop, just stop, go home and play with your toys, it's time for the adults to step in and take charge.Anyone who wants REI to continue, please read these and think real carefully, and consider what measures like this proposal really mean.

I don't plan on stopping my investments with them, same with my other investments, I'm no day trader and in it for the long haul here, I treat it like my IRA, it goes in and I'll get it back way down the road.

I primarily like to buy and hold and hold on to them for the long haul. they are for my kids future, to sell and do what they want with the $ when i'm gone. but if you do not want to hold that long, you should take into consideration the tax implications. when you sell the house, you will have to pay tax on the depreciation amount that you took, and that's at 25%.

Refrigerators seem to be less and less reliable every year and repair costs are HIGH, I wouldn't mind providing a stove but like it was mentioned above the tenants can leave them damaged or dirty which is another turn over expense.We toyed with the idea of renting appliances but didn't get a very positive market response, maybe the market will start to change.

At least 50/50, since you knew the oil was there and left it there, and possibly higher for you unless you could prove the tenant was explicitly told not to mess with the barrel because you were having it picked up and hauled away, and they did it anyway.

Other ideas I can think of are; - perhaps an owl box - perhaps haul gravel for a driveway on the other side of the house

The rent increase pays for the machines and infrastructure within 2 years, and the apartment is much easier to lease when it has laundry included.I am not sure how much I'd like tenants hauling appliances in and out of our apartments, and being responsible for hooking them up- they do enough damage just moving furniture!
