She is new.The couple in the unite 1, separated from the construction by Unit 2, have been here for 4 years and they are asking more money because they are saying they are working from home.

I am not that concerned right now given I think there will always be mechanisms in place to avoid it (move into one of the units as an owner, move a family member in, do another renovation, etc) but want to make sure I am not making a big mistake here.Thanks all!

Well I think you should only increase the rent if the current rents are under market value for the condition of the units.

Afaik, the code requires only if you have 4 units that are sharing walls.

We were allowed in one of the three units prior to being under contract.
