Do we go above the inspector's head to his supervisor to draw attention to this?

I work as a production supervisor and hold hours of 3pm-11pm.

"saving" for retirement (not actually possible, but that's a post/thread unto itself), building their social circles in the work-place, building teams and relationships, producing noteworthy results, starting early, staying late, ... 

They are pulling the "I talked to my supervisor" routine and saying they'll "cut me a break" on commissions and instead accept a finders fee of 1 months rent instead.

If I could have a guarantee I could have my license but never have to go to a company meeting, get cc'd on e-mail chains, have a supervisor, or act like most brokers I would get it.

I would try calling the company and speaking to the owner/supervisor to see what they are willing to do.
