I am not that concerned but will most likely start distributing the funds rather than defer more.The original question asked whether deferring income as long as possible might be a good idea even when retired (and if that is even possible) which would make a larger percentage of income be taxed at 15%, and the fact that money could work tax free possibly in the form of a tax deferred self directed (traditional) IRA.The reason for considering stashing cash in retirement is the fact that my pension will almost certainly implode.

I assume she has money stashed in commodities or liquid off the books assets like entire sports team signatures hangin on the walls etc.

both of which can be explained away, the scale, as applicant may of wanted to weigh pot to ensure amount, and having multiple baggies, they may have "forgot" where their stash was, and bought another.
