For months this guy (a pastor) told us that these apartments were in process of being converted into condos for us to sell.

Been a Pastor for 14 years.....in real estate for four years.

Apparently the underwriter came up with a problem with the way the pastor is paid.

We do them at least annually before offering lease renewal, and if it is a unit that we know has had issues in the past, or we discover a serious housekeeping issue, we will issue a housekeeping violation, take pictures, document it and reinspect in a few weeks, then reinspect again 3-4 months later to make sure they are keeping it decently clean and not too cluttered so as to cause ingress/egress hazards or fire hazards.

Lately I've been seeing more and more about the "subject to" investing strategy and would like to connect with someone who's been successful with this in the past or is currently employing it in their toolkit.

I've read other past reviews that they use a lot of "former pastors" and "church" stories to probably brainwash you to think they are good people.

It doesn't matter all that much whether they were right in the past, or whether they are right now - what matters is whether their arguments have merit or not.

We agreed to have them payback discounted rent with larger monthly payments once this is past or via security deposit.
