Hello,I'm fairly new to RE investing/buying a home and have been reading "Long distance real estate investing."

Conventional loans are typically in your personal name, while investment property loans, like DSCR loans, will need to be in your LLC's name.

He will be selling the project to buyers once completed and not interested in operating.How should I evaluate this deal from an investment point?

This multifaceted approach can often shield them better against market downturns, providing a more resilient investment option. 

The laws are off-putting but I don't think that's a real reason not to invest there.

With time hopefully the numbers will be even more in your favor with appreciation of the property and you will have cash flow to continue to invest, also it is building equity in your portfolio that you may want to tap for opportunities in the future.

I both personally invest in real estate and help others gets started/expand their portfolios in various Midwest/midsouth markets.What I do with my kids: My wife and I have 2 of our rentals that are on the same street, with a home in between them.

The reason I am analyzing with slightly different types of properties for those 2 scenarios is so that my initial investment is similar.
