You'll make more money if you invest in the stocks of the best companies but, when the market goes down, you'll generally still lose money because the stocks of the best companies will go down too.I could write a book about this but hopefully I already gave you enough food for thought.

I'm not saying they haven't achieved what they say the have, I would just take it with a grain of salt

But the way I look at this example is I go to the supermarket I pay on time, bag my own groceries, carry my food out to the car and still the super market raises prices on food.

I equate this more to my Maltese yapping like crazy at my Bernese Mountain dog every time he comes within 10 feet of their food. 

Here in DC area its killing landlords as well as the small retail as the office buildings are all first floor retail/food service and the govt is not back to office or they are 2-3 days per week which for these businesses is a 406-%+ drop as typically fridays would be the day you go out for lunch etc. and now most people work from home on fridays.

There are answers here from people much, much more experienced than I, so take anything I say with a grain (or several) of salt.I see a few options:1) Check with the local DA on your options for pursuing your ex for fraud.
