That way, if the friendship goes bad in the future, you and/or your friend are protected from the other one trying to screw you out of your assets (to a significant degree at least).Also, if they have 800k to invest, they have plenty of money to sue you with later if the business dealings, or friendship, goes bad in the future.  

What you make of the opportunities, friendships, and studies will make the experience that you want.

Most often, it's best for both you and your client to obtain separate general liability insurance policies.Please forgive the depth of this response but I want to make sure that you fully protect yourself - with your friendship in tact when the project is over.  

Its going to seem like overkill putting the details in writing when you are partnering with a person you've known forever, but trust me you'll be glad you did if something goes south.......and it will likely save your friendship at that point as well.
