I myself have a 15-year mortgage because the interest rate was substantially better than the 30-year option at the time.My only real issue is with the bogus "mortgages are font-loaded" claim that @Gary Floring, Joshua Smith, and others have made on this thread.In the example Gary uses above, he compares the total interest in year one of a $165,000 mortgage and a $10,000 HELOC.

You just better make sure that is in giant bold font and get the tenant to also initial it, because if the title is "lease" and it stars out with a one-year term, the tenant has an argument that they reasonably understood that they had a lease that wouldn't end until the end of one year.Why not just do a month to month agreement?
