My assumption is that it may be lessy risky in the DMV; however, it's very difficult to achieve the return rates needed to compound your money over and over in order to build a large portfolio.I'm familiar with PG county and have heard of Frederick & Baltimore county.

Montgomery county is pretty pricey, and I looked at other areas like (PG county and Baltimore) but I don’t know where to start.

If you do look at PG try to stay more south near Lower College or North of bowl in the “Heart”.

I grew up in Columbia and have connections throughout central MD (Baltimore, Howard/Moco/PG, DC, etc.).

I've been reading through the PG county housing choice voucher program and I'm a little confused by the order of operations and timing for some things.

“Rental Income may now be subject to self-employment taxes (pg. 51)Proposed amendment removes the exclusion of rental income from the definition of “net earnings from self-employment tax”

I would avoid buying anything in PG county unless you want section 8 tenants.
