A LTR is like driving down the interstate with your cruise control on.A STR is like being the entertainment director/security/cook/accountant/navigator/housekeeping/marketing manager of a cruise ship.

I doubt it, but that's who you will find cruising the STR space.Meet them at a public place after you put them through a thorough phone interview.

So I was cruising around craigslist the other day, I saw this posting it appears to be 6 units on I think 2 lots.

So I am just a small fish at the moment, but not a newbie.I have not actively invested in many years now, as I was very busy travelling the world working on cruise ships, and then travelling more during my holidays.I have been living in a bubble for many years at sea, so I figured it would be a great idea to join BiggerPockets in order to make new friends with likeminded people and hopefully fast track to doing a deal, as I don't want to take forever to learn about the current market and areas, find deals and basically reinvent the wheel.Is there anyone willing to share some tips / advice / feedback on what areas to focus on, where to find deals or anything else that you might find beneficial?

Sounds like you are cruising right along with your STR portfolio.

@Joel Owens  my ship comes in ( or my big land plays go ka ching) I am buying a condo on the World ( cruise ship) and will live in that .. talk about floating base :)  this is always a spirited thread...

But I am a quality focused person, and lazy operator, I want things to go as smooth on "cruise control" as humanly possible. 

You are obviously concerned about the well being of your property, but the more time you spend upfront, the fewer calls you get while you are on a cruise with your family.

Here it is Sunday afternoon, and I am cruising Bigger Pockets, updating the blog, have read a few chapters of a marketing book this morning and will continue to 'work' throughout the day.
