I’m wondering if this is fixable or whether I should change the countertop (the kitchen isn’t very large, standard condo size, so countertop isn’t grandiose). 

The couple that lived in the home smoked so my realtor let me borrow his Ozone generator to help get the smoke smell out (works amazingly) I am adding a new kitchen countertop, faucet, backsplash and repainting the kitchen cabinets.

We painted the property inside and outside, replaced all the carpets, added new countertops and replaced the faucets.

Completely renovated the interior, all new cabinets, floors, paint, countertops and appliances.

For us 2 weeks is a long time, 4 weeks is the longest I’ve had in 20 years and most of that was extensive turnover work (full repaint and and recarpet, new appliances and countertops, and massive cleaning)As others have suggested, list the address, there are lots of experts on here willing to work for you for free to solve a mystery like this. 

New laminate flooring, painted cabinets with stainless pulls, tile backsplash, and quartz countertop from a local stone company with a remnant for a good price.

Updated electrical panel, new water heater, reconfigured kitchen with new doors/drawers, new countertops, new sinks, new plumbing fixtures, new appliances(seller provided), new flooring, new interior doors, new vanity, detached single car garage, new garage door opener, and newer heat pump.

Mitigation is complete and reconstruction--whole house flooring (because of open plan), and in the kitchen, countertops, drywall, plumbing, paint, and cabinets--is about to begin and is scheduled to take about 3 weeks.
