It's quoted that the President of Michigan Saving's Bank told Henry Ford not to invest in the automobile because, "The Horse is here to stay, the automobile is just a fad".Obviously he was wrong.

Henry Ford sent "inspectors" to employee's homes to evaluate them for continued employment. 3) Why hasn't this already happened in Silicon Valley with its real estate challenges?

One is this Monday at Fords Garage on Sheldon at 6:30pm. 

Build a big work camp for them, march them in through a gate that reads "Work Will Make You Free" and set them to manual labor, maybe building Chevys and Fords?

If you had a contractor show up to quote a job in an $80K new truck, then another shows up in a 10 year old white Ford Econoline van, what conclusion would you come to when the first bid was much higher?

Even Ford's famous slogan WIN (Whip Inflation Now) did nothing, a big surprise :-) And they have to be careful not to trigger a recession by screwing around too much with rates.The rate now is 8.3 with the high of the 70s being 11.3 (I think), so we are down 3.

If you think about it, the cost of fuel is more, but not enough for most middle/upper middle class families to travel via car.In another post I used our car, a 2015 Ford Flex.
