The house should only be a tear down (termites which have destroyed the garage and interior of the home, no central air/heat throughout although it's listed as such, broken showers and dish washer, swimming pool with cracks in it, a leaky roof, etc..). 

I have little to add, except a spin on this from a Pittsburgh perspective, the city with the oldest housing stock in America.The older the property is, the more likely a fully-renovated/flipped property is likely to be hiding some kind of major flaw under its new interior/exterior.

Any recommendations for interior designers in the area? 

The place has to bring something extra -- great interior design, a hot tub, a view, incredible proximity to the action, etc -- something that will make you stand out and be able to ask and get the big bucks that make the investment worth it. 

Can you have better interior design?

The interior was rehabbed in 2023, and me and my partners rehabbed the electrical, plumbing, roofing, and septic (In short, it is in very good rental condition).
