It happens,,, And how nice to hear,, I had a similar type thing rented to a young kid,, but he lost his job,, was struggling to pay,, Couldn't make the rent on the 1st..So I said if you leave by the 10th leave the place clean,, and I'll see how quick I can rent it out..He moved left it spotless so I only had to charge him security dep to cover the months rent..it was just before christmas and but I rented the apt for the 1st.. 

My cabinet and flooring guy at the same house was supposed to have most of the work done in December, but took off to Arizona for Christmas and didn't even get started until January!

They were in the process of re-financing their farm and had some issues with the mortgage broker so we had to delay the financing terms a few times with Christmas in the way as well.

Christmas and New Year's raked in $11k each week!

This answers your question as well @Justin Young not paying her back would make things a little difficult at Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners..

Folks took advantage of the Christmas sales big box stores had on them and purchased new ones and are now trying to sell their used ones.Gail
