I just bought my first STR and hopefully closing in February.

I just purchased my first duplex (only SFHs in my portfolio so far) and it doesn't have the gas/water split.

Keeping my eye on the worst houses in the best neighbors that need some reno that I can turn into STRs or LTRs.

However if I was an agent, broker, GC, etc I do not feel that it would be my responsibility to verify the underwriting.

When I tried to get it when my side of the family found out and tried tp take over reverse mortgage payments to bank because she had died it was to late so they sold the house to Hud and then other reverse mortgage companies but a relative still lives there so they can't kick them out.
