That's more of a personality issue than an industry issue.  

It seems logical to think that a newer home is more valuable than an older home.

However; what you are probably looking for is a loan through a mortgage broker using private individuals investment money rather than an institutional lender correct? 

The money is either the same of more with the license because you'll always have more options than an average investor.
