Answer: NO, unless you want it vacated.

I originally purchased this house to be nearby my grandmother in her last few years but realized quickly that it was a prime area for short term rentals as there are no zoning rules or permits necessary etc.

The rate on my mortgage is amazing (low 3'%) and have no plans to lose that.

Within 2 years of this or during a tenant turover, you have to pay to have your walls tested for LPB lead based paint, no exemption on property size (ex:sfr or 500 unit) Unless it was built after 1978, certified free of LBP, SFR or duplex and rented under 6 months, and some other wacky exemption.  

No experience on the acquisition side but I was there as a tourist in 2005.

Old downtown Buda is small but really cool and we spend a lot of time there!
