What benefits do landlords insurance offer compared to regular home owners?

Was going to handwrite letters to property owners in my immediate area and maybe include a photo of my wife and I.Can anyone give me any suggestions on best practices?

As the owner of the land and the builder, would I be able to include all my expected profits with the cost of the land and then build "at cost?"

- or should I have the owner of the unit below me file a claim with their insurance?
