No way - I feel a great urgency to buy as much as I can as fast as I can - I fully expect the profit margins to continue to decline over time as this market fully migrates to an appreciation market (which is much better overall for investors and long term but and hold, just harder to scale for newer investors).

When you put your cashflow toward paying down the mortgage you are increasing your equity by that dollar amount but not increasing the income of the property which means your return on equity is continuously declining.

The opposite however could also occur if demand for real estate declines, this could also lead to lower inflation, which would in turn eventually lead to lower interest rates and thus relieve the burden on those who previously experienced it... it's just a question of how long that process takes which will likely dictate how many foreclosures there are... interest rates tend to lag behind inflation weather up or down.
