@Jillian Reber, Hello, as others have said Maine is a a big place and you'll find there are a lot of differences among regions but even between the towns and cities.

I'm based in Atlanta which is one of the leading expanding markets but the region also includes markets like Charlotte, Raleigh, Jacksonville and Tampa.

It is remarkable how varied the responses are that one gets from (public) utilities, depending on community, region, state, or even depending on the particular individual you happen to talk to.
