In general, RE realized the largest appreciation rate post pandemic due to easy money spurring investor demand, and depending on the market, the mass wave of demand entering into the STR market.

I have looked into a few ways to start off but would like to connect with people who are having success and can walk me through how to start.

I'm particularly passionate about Las Vegas, San Diego and Murrieta/Temecula area but also want to know about other areas.Outside of real estate, I enjoy travel, outdoor activities and spending time with friends and family.Excited to learn and connect with you all!

All this to say that you should work with detail-oriented experts if you really want to go down this route, because it's easy to get a little sloppy and end up with a much bigger tax bill than you expected.
