I pay more in interest, but the obstacles to getting the loan were considerably less. 

It's been a few years and we ultimately purchased our units all in Raleigh, but we thought Knightdale had some very good single family detached deals that would make great rental property.  

Our typical rehabbed unit is 2 BR and 1.5 Ba (we have three 2/1 (soon to be 4 as our current purchase is a 3/1 and 2/1 detached duplex) but we have not rehabbed any of the 2/1). 

Already meters separately with a detached garage.

My tenants are a high school teacher and a nurse, they keep trying to get me to sell to them but I’m not quite there yet :)Also there are a ton of homes with detached garages and with the new SB 13 bill that just went into effect it’s much easier to turn one of those garages into an ADU which could be rented out while you live in the main house.Feel free to message me if you have any specific questions about Bixby Knolls!

Hello,Using my duplex, I’m thinking of adding 200 sqft (which includes a bathroom onto my detached rear unit making it a 2/2 unit.

There were a few obstacles that we had to overcome, but in the end it was nothing to devastating and we got it done.

When you put those in charge of government who see government only as an obstacle, the big crash happens (again!)...

I realized when I last posted in May I was only talking about all the obstacles rather than the opportunities and that was bringing me down.
