I also painted a lot of very dark walls and replaced light fixtures to brighten the interior up.

I work with many out of state investors and buy/hold or light updates is a great option but trying to do a significant rehab from out of state is not a good idea.

Or if you can fit a headboard, they make some with built in lights, so you don't need night stands.

We live close to the light rail so I guess the City thought people wouldn't have cars.
