Sold my client one in complex first and rented their 1BR  for $1,295.00 to a grad student from local college.

In the beginning stages of raising funds for a student housing development project, but am curious to know what are the different methods investors are paid.

I also had lines of credit and some student loans, but no car loans.I chipped away at them one at a time, lowest $ amount to highest, and snowballed the payment into the next one.  

There is a large student population for SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design).

My tenants are usually grad/post grad students or young professionals just out of college (its a college town), so it makes it easier on them since they don't have joint finances.

I have a rental property near several Universities in Pennsylvania and the town has an ordinance against renting to students.We have rented to students for approx 15 years supposedly against the ordinance.I understand government involvement with discrimination but have not seen this type a discrimination against an unprotected class i.e “students”.Does anyone know of any cases that addressed these or similar issues?

Other people on here have had it happen, but its pretty rare in my experience.I still doubt they'd ever know, but if you transferred and they cried foul, you could probably just transfer it back, or if they want to be hard asses and call the loan due, you could just refi the thing. 

I'm even planning on pilfering an excerpt from it to teach my students about audience and rhetoric when I get back to work in a week.Thanks!
