I was very hesitant about this but one house in the auction I was able to walk through before hand, back door was open(though I won't admit it in court, lol) and talked to the neighbors before hand and they told me no one had been to the house in over a year and the owner of record was deceased, but there was still a bunch of stuff like furniture, materials, ect left in the house, but utilities were off and obviously no one was living there, so figured it was safe to purchase even though the previous owners still get to legally have access to the property, but I don't for three weeks.
