Are you buying this in your name and then trying to quit claim into an LLC?

I just wish the GC and myself were given the chance to use our sub contractors to repair the issue as it would cost less.  

I was just wondering if buying properties and rehabbing them would be a good way to transition into becoming a residential developer eventually?
