I have been speaking with my brother about building a partnership to acquire our first property.

My brother and I run a small wholesaling operation.

I’m thinking of maybe getting my brother in law on the deal as he lives in the bottom part of the duplex.

we didn't see a room over the garage"  our realtor responds "its just an attic"  which is what the sellers realtor told her, which was incorrect information provided by the brother of the seller who incidentally lived in the home and did not like the idea of having to move out.

@Jelani Fearon Peace brother, my suggestion is if you find a property see if you can get a seller concession also known as seller's assistance for the property (up to 6% for FHA 203K) if you are buying owner occupied.
