It may actually  be a boost for STR's for the simple fact that ordering a Hotel is a shocking experience, when and if you finally get to see the price.

This can further boost the region's economy and real estate market.

Don't worry about people who need an ego boost who are making false claims.

That negatively impacted my urban STRs and boosted the STRs in non-urban vacation destinations.Most of those remote workers have returned to the office at least part of the time.

You will have to decide for yourself whether you desire to pursue this at that level of effort (financially I suspect it is not worth it, but for moral victory it could be worth pursuing).Good luck.

Moral of the story:  Don’t run a STR in an area zoned residential-only (typically called R-1).

As long as you are not crossing a moral line (that would be an entirely different thread), I'm guessing stats would tell you most people prefer to have TV's in STRs...........Just a thought: If I were staying in your STR my objective would be to see the area and not really watch TV, but if unexpected weather made it so we had to stay in I would be upset that a TV was not part of the rental.

I'm not even asking the obvious question of how moral is it for government to tax and take people's property?
