Some kids learned to drive by watching their friends, other adults, watching Dad fix the car on the weekends, took the drivers' ed course in high school and then got the guts to sneak the keys one night and take a joy ride for that first drive and brought the car back in pristine order.

I in fact believe it's exactly one of the main reasons we send our children to school, so that they may learn how to be productive and effective adults and navigate their financial lives. 40hrs per week for 40 years is nothing to get excited about.
