What should I focus and NOT focus on?

However, my long-term goal is to acquire a passive income through multi-family homes and SFH in the Milwaukee area that will allow me to focus full-time on RE investing.

I have occupancy of close to 90% annually, which is not uncommon here since we have year-round visitors (including many people from up North in the winter).

I feel like many don't factor in the tax consequences of a flipping business and simply focus on their pre-tax profit.     

My initial inclination is to get an MBA focused in finance.

Fabian your #1 focus for wholesaling right now should be finding a great deal.

Hi Eric, I started investing during the last downturn, not before it, but from what I gather from my mentors who not only weathered the turn, but came out ahead was a focus on the fundamentals.

So, why not list that home and get a commission versus focusing on a smaller piece of the pie by trying to low ball them.

I am retired and I make sure any worries are at an absolute minimum, focus on getting great tenants and don’t take any undue risks with your business; as an old guy it is much harder to bounce back from a screw-up.
