It appears that the electrician comes to change one plug, and is then hired again the next week to change a plug in another part of the building.

If you brought your spouse and 2 kids with you, and you could argue all of your argue of your time on the trip was looking at real estate, and your personal business and activity circumstance defends being able to immediately deduct it and not treat it as a start up cost... likely 75% of much of the travel costs (airfare, food, etc) would be non-deductible. 

I currently don't have an LLC for the real estate side and was thinking it would be easier to just start doing business under the LLC that I set up for Turo, instead of going through all the paperwork of setting up another one.Thoughts?

It’s just  that I have no accounting experience and I created my own spreadsheets when I started this (I created and know my own system, not this one).

The vast majority of states also leverage figures on a federal return as a starting point to define taxable income, making adjustments to those figures to arrive at the portions of income that are taxable for state tax purposes. 

And I would get these folks calling me all saying they were cousins of the shah or some shirt tail relative  which was code for they had a lot of cash.so I started showing one around in particular bought him lunch a few times and he always ordered the most expensive whatever ..
