I definitely have some adjustments to make to my team and my processes for it to really turn into a worthwhile investment property.  

That is primarily because the cost of money (interest rate) is twice what it was two years ago.I suggest that you adjust your thinking about buying a vacation rental just a bit.

I also have heard Canadian investors prefer an LLP set up as opposed to the more typical LLC set up.

I'd like to complete the purchase and get the studio live in ready within a few months... then rent the house to off set the mortgage!!
