Loss of income is another coverage that you will probably want to cover any period of time you can’t rent out the apartment due to a covered loss.

If you plan on leaving after a year, rates will be much higher to refinance this as an investment home so doing the buy down probably wins out in that situation.

It probably makes more sense to invest it than to pay off the mortgage but I can definitely see why someone would want to get rid of their debt. 

This space is also getting competitive, but you could try listing for monthly stays only on Airbnb, VRBO, etc.

For anyone that has used Lead Sherpa, are there additional costs for things like this?
