I would recommend first reading The Ultimate Beginner's Guide I know you are not beginners but there's something in there for just about everyone.http://www.biggerpockets.com/real-estate-investingSecond, go the the BP Store and buy the two books by J Scott, The Book on Flipping Houses and The Book on Estimating Rehab Costs.

My goal is to acquire at least 2 properties (single family homes to triplexes) each year for about 5 to 10 years for the monthly income and be able to replace them with large apartment complexes still for the monthly income.I'd love to meet people in the area who philosophy align with mine or could contribute to achieving it or I could do the same, since while I may not have any real life experiences but I do have quite some book life experiences.I want to take the time to wish all of you a Happy Holidays and may 2014 be a awesome year for you all!!!

You can't learn to swim by watching a video or reading a book, you've got to jump in, splash around, swallow some water and sink to the bottom a couple times before you figure it out.When I take a lump in life that costs me time or money, I tell myself I just paid for some education that you can't get from a college course or a guru, because I know I won't be repeating that mistake again.
