Regarding open houses for rentals..I am against a blanket 12 to 4 type open house becuase the last time I did that I had the first potential client show up at 10:30 becuase she really wanted the place, but besides her, everyone (All the other 8 perspective renters) showed up between 12 and 12:45 .

Same salary, commissions, opening a ton of doors that turn you into an insider, and it will not hurt your banking career if you decide to go back, but will instead give you perspectives and insights to give value to your customers.Weigh the options, find out the specifics, but if there are no major deal breakers go for it.I once had a guy talk to me in a bookstore; we were just looking at the same book, and started talking.

The difficult part of that is getting contractors in an unfamiliar area...I have paid to have my crews stay at a hotel local to the job, may be an option.Before replacing the tile, I would consult with an interior decorator or two for perspective.
