Large structural things like a roof are 27.5 year- and only 50% will qualify if you occupy 1/2 the property.

When my orders conclude, I would rent out the portion of the duplex I was occupying.  

Hey all,My wife and I bought a property that we intended to occupy for 1 year but due to circumstances need to move but are willing to let it sit open until the 1 year mark.

You have to occupy within 60 days and most landlords aren't going to serve the notice to quit for you because the reason they want to sell is because they don't want to deal with the tenants.

I won't considered any properties that are occupied already or there is little to no difference between the AS-IS and ARV.

I currently have 3 commercial properties and one single family residence (all occupied).

Our places have been over 90% occupied in the past year, but we were closer to 65% prior to that.
