@Timothy CasallasHey Timothy - I read your profile and it appears that you will be stationed in Japan soon.If you invest in real estate. you may want to look into investing in states with no income tax(such as florida) this will be one less tax return that you will need to file.Also - if you have an account in excess of $10,000 during the year in Japan - You should report it to the IRS.
