Since Ali didn't mention it, she just wrote a great article on the BP blog about different markets to invest in.

So I'm reading a lot of articles about REI in America, and it has taught me a lot.

Lots of great articles, podcasts and old threads on the forums that will give you great information.

Now that I've been starting to read articles and forum threads here, I'm starting to learn more about other options (like TK) and how to analyze other markets, which is great, since we're looking at markets that are much farther away (won't be able to drive there in 5.5 hours like we can with our AZ rentals).

But I don't really know much about real estate so I did what everyone does these days and googled it and to make a long story short I read some articles and they lead me to bigger pockets.

There are a lot of good articles and posts on what to watch for when you are starting out on here with lots of lively discussion.

Since then, I've read several books on REI, been to several auctions at the local courthouse, read countless web articles, been to a REIA meeting, joined several meetups and am currently in the midst of an on-line class being taught by Josh Fuhrer - great class, highly recommend for any of the other newbies out there (it lead me to this site).
