Being retired is a drag, running around cruising, traveling, living on a large lake gets old.

Once the water is all pumped out, to the point where you can walk around safely without stepping into little "lakes" than start the dehumidifiers and fans. 

My opinion: Choose to invest in the neighborhoods that expect a lot of appreciation soon: West Loop, West Town, Logan Square, Humbold Park, Pilsen, South Loop and directly south between South Loop and Hyde Park around the lake. 

Adjustments "can" be made by the agent, but mostly it's just generated by the automated program, with little consideration for subdivision boundaries, age, wood frame vs CBS, upgrades/renovations, lake front vs busy road frontage, leaky roofs, etc.  

However, as the time passed and I educated myself more, I realized that real estate investment and management is the right career path for me.Now I am aiming to get back into the industry through property management as I find that to be a quite interesting profession, for which quality firms are allegedly difficult to find (I say this through my own experience and through reading BP and listening to the podcasts).
