Does anyone have any tips for finding a mentor?

Are there any tips for researching a HOA rather than just asking the seller?

Play within your bank roll.If you have to get too creative then you probably aren't prepared for that level of play.Master your current game and build a large enough bank roll so you can tip toe to the next level. 

We have a few rental properties in the Loop and Lincoln Park, and are looking for someone who can fix relatively minor issues (e.g. adjust a door, fix a broken handle) without much supervision and who does a thorough job.

Any tips and reccomendtions for a 18 year old that plans on being done with school in a few years and getting involved in the market?

Here is a Link to a short description of both. if you will only use a small amount to put down as a down payment then i would us a HELOC, even if you can pull out 100,000 in equity, you do not pay interest on it until you use it. would you want to pay 3.5 - 4.5 % on $25,000 ( usually broken into 20 year term) or 4% on $100,000 over 30 years ?
