​I want to remind people that there are so many scams out there right now.

Zillow/trulia - I am ANTI zestimates because they're almost always inaccurate however their site does offer some useful and convenient information.

Fed recently announced next increase may be more than had been anti pared prior to the comment.  

Also check out Craigslist and FaceBook marketplace, but be wary of scams. 

So much reckless money being thrown around is bound to attract the hyenas.Unfortunately, hardly anyone wants to acknowledge this, much less discuss it.I spoke to a colleague yesterday who just got scammed out of $1,500 in earnest money from dealing with an unscrupulous "investor" who probably makes more money from broken contracts than he does from legitimate property sales!

Her being scammed does not excuse her from all responsibilities.She is late on rent.

But I'm terrified this is a scam or something.

Humans are naturally altruistic, despite our self-interest, and the vast majority of teachers are not gurus looking to scam you out of your money. 

The notion posited above they are a "scam" is utterly preposterous.
