Investing away from your primary location should warrant a weekend trip at least to those locations to meet with as many people as you can (realtors / brokers / government employees / restaurants / coffee shops / and More).

Maybe you have a gfci outlet that tripped and all the outlets that follow it in that circuit are tripped because it needs to be reset.If it's not that and you can't figure it out easily then you should probably just call an electrician.

But again maybe I'm not understanding what you were asking.Generally for an insurance walk-through it's not the tenants which are the issue, it's features of the property itself which an insurance inspector will identify as risk factors, such as knob and tube wiring (especially active knob & tube, but they don't like to see any), uneven sidewalks that could be tripping hazards, plants or other obstructions on fire escapes, etc.Grills near the property aren't good either, so that would be something to ask tenants to take care of, moving them away from the building.

This means that you will need to pay registration and filing fees in at least 2 states if you don’t buy CA property.Most likely the state where the property is located is where lawsuits would be brought if they are something for personal injury like a trip and fall or something of that nature because the “cause of action” arose in that state.
