The reason being he didn't want to piss off any potential customer.

I'm an electrician I would have no problem an hour or less explaining how to find customers for my business.

I went through this last year when I got back into flipping houses and one of the revelations to come from it were that my "customers" are not really the folks who end up buying my rehabbed house--even though they're the ones paying--but the realtors showing the house.

Customer service matters if you're in this for the long haul IMO.To know a market you can have a solid grasp pretty quick with the info on the MLS.
