Another loophole is if you decided to rent out for 30 days at a time (this option is great for traveling nurses that are from place to place 6-8 months at a time).

The thing you want to avoid happening is the IRS deeming you that you live in multiple places and your travel then potentially becomes non-deductible(depending if you do have a business).Items such as registering for a new state ID, paying for utilities, applying for state voting, etc help establish your new tax home.

Please do not take this statement as being incentive, but I travel a lot and sometimes Marriott will put me in a handicap accessible room and I would prefer a regular room because the bathrooms are too big.

As a result of the taking the courses through Kaplan, I saved myself 8 months of going to classes, not to mention the travel time, homework commitments, etc. 

I plan on seeing about longer term short term rentals for any kind of traveling professionals for the small local hospital or the school district.

Although I haven’t asked I am fairly confident that I could receive a loan (up to 5k) from family or friends to help pay for part of the down payment or closing costs.

I also know a lot of people are moving out of California right now.I'm assuming this is more residential oriented.3 hours is closer than Indy but also a plane travels nearly as quick to Indy. 

I am guilty of jumping in and doing this stuff myself as well...but am working to cut it out to afford myself more time with family and traveling.
