To answer your question though, based on what you wrote, it sounds like you’re in violation of your lease.In California (as in most states), leases are generally written so that the property may be exclusively used/lived in by the people/residents named on the lease.

I personally don't target places with a lot of business travel but there are plenty of successful investors who focus exclusively on medium term rentals (30-90 days) for corporate rentals and traveling medical professionals.I'd suggest the new Shenandoah National Park area in VirginiaManaging remotely will be similar across all markets, just make sure you choose one with favorable and stable STR regulations!

I've gotten on a email list from a local realtor who specializes in REO but alot of what im seeing is HUD, Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae, of these the only value i have seen is with HUD but nothing thats gotten past the "Exclusive" period unless HUD would accept a deep discounted bid.thanks
