It wasn't a lot of standing water and the spots were dry, but I would've accepted a simple "We don't know" in response from the agent/seller.I also wanted to know an estimate of the age of the roof and water heater.

In addition, you're still going to need to meet the building code standards and might need a variance if you exceed the allowable FAR.Sadly, at least in our area "just framing in and dry wall isn't going to cut it.

In this scenario, it comes down to me paying $4k worth of deductible or $2k worth of deductible to get the hail damage fixed; that is if I prevail with holding them to their quote.TL;DRI switched insurance companies and the agent changed deductible from the $1k I was quoted to $2k on three of my four rental properties, then hail damage occurred before we could discuss this un-prompted change.

In my area bidding goes for a 10 minutes or until it dries up, auctioneer takes a break and talks with the seller/estate and buyers, then opens up bidding for a bit then it's done.3) I don't like anyone in the room knowing who I am or why I want the property.

I couldn't find an adopted opinion on this specific topic and I believe this is because the 'dry closing' is understood to be a career ending move if performed by a closing attorney (see NCGS 45A-4).
