@Gregory Schwartz,compress your search a bit on BP, and target (pun intended) the military and military in deployment managing remotely threads.Also plenty of remote investing stories, some even including their methodology and steps...Your boots on the ground team counts more than anything.

One follow up question my title company just asked me: the reason I moved from that home is because of military orders, and I only lived there for about a year and a half.

I live in Bayonne and have seen progress towards positive change since moving here (luxury apartment complexes, ferry, Costco, Military Ocean Terminal redevelopment, bike share, park improvements).

They are debt free (thank you US military) and I encouraged both to buy houses (turn key, no hacking) to avoid renting during residency.

I understand, I never expected an special privileges but I don't except to be financially punished because the military decides they want to send me to another state to train just to come back here 13 months later 

The same with Killeen/Fort Hood being solely dependent on the military.

I am AD military moving to the JBLM area in July/August.
