Hi, I have a landlord's policy with Farmers Insurance; the rental property is a single-family. 

I know there have been delays and issues during government shutdowns but this is a new one for me. 

Why wouldn’t you get an umbrella insurance policy instead?

Contrast this with someone that has adequate umbrella policy.  

From policy checking to proposals, outsourcing improves efficiency, allowing you to focus on growing your core business.

Unfortunately, you may have a hard time enforcing anything about "guests" unless policy/procedures are outlined in your lease.  

So most likely, and please check me on this, I believe they will pay for the tenants rent for a year or so, but then, the tenant will have to get a job or go through a different government subsides program.

There was nothing I could do about it.We are always at the mercy of tiny government politics and power struggles.

Our insurance company (State Farm) doesn't cover flood, so our flood insurance policy is through FEMA's NFIP (national flood insurance program).

You would have to check with your policy/lender for more details.
