I grew up in the Cent-Il area, and I've found that the prices are much more digestible there for me.

I'm sure there will be those that argue the point till the cows come home to defend wholesaling as being lawful, ethical and probably honorable.

I think the best answer is to diversify - buy some cheap cash cows and buy some more expensive, quality properties.
